Clearing Brush Around the House

A machine for Heavier Work
Some of us have to contend with larger areas of brush, where a lighter machine just doesn’t cut it. For this, the Stihl FS 56 C-E is a great option. While it weighs significantly more than the FS 38 at five kilograms, what you get is a well-balanced machine with bike handles for better control. The larger engine is supported on a strap around your shoulder, keeping the weight close to your centre of gravity, so that you don’t feel as much pressure on your arms or wrists. This makes it a more comfortable machine for larger workloads.

This is a sturdy, robust tool weighing in at ten kilos. It uses a brush knife to cut through the toughest, thickest weeds. Crucially, it has been engineered to drastically reduce vibration levels, with levels around 3,7/3,7 m/s² compared with around 8 in the FS 56 C-E. This means you can work for hours on end with less numbness, tingling or other sensations commonly felt when dealing with oscillating garden machinery.
