Berg In-Ground Trampolines

Berg In-Ground Trampolines

Berg In-Ground Trampolines are some of the best on the market. Berg are known for providing world-class trampolines known for their performance and durability. They last for many years with proper treatment; And they provide a great source of fun and exercise for kids and adults alike. Inground trampolines have many advantages over a regular trampoline. They have their share of trade-offs which Berg aims to minimize with their innovative designs.

Berg In-Ground Trampolines

The big advantage of In-Ground Trampolines is that they provide safer access to the jumping surface. Not having to climb onto the raised metal frame reduces the risk of injury; Especially while getting on and off the trampoline. Another advantage is that it’s a much more aesthetically pleasing appearance since, without a raised metal frame, there is a much lower visual profile in your garden or yard. It’s a tidier, cleaner look and a much easier trampoline to get on and off. The downsides are that you will need to dig a trench beforehand since the jumping surface requires empty space below it. You will also need to take precautions to ensure that the area surrounding the jumping surface is soft and safe. Lastly, since the jumping surface covers the trench it creates an air pocket which can reduce the springyness when you jump. However, Berg have a solution to this issue.

Berg’s Airflow Technology

One of the chief issues with an in-ground trampoline is the build-up of air pressure in the trench which can create a cushion, reducing the jumping mat’s ability to store up kinetic energy. Berg tackles this problem using their ‘AirFlow’ technology. They have created great jumping surfaces that increase airflow through the jumping mat by about 50%. This reduces the air pressure build-up in the trench. By leaving a small amount of space around the trench to allow airflow, you will also help reduce this air cushion effect. Having adequate ventillation in the trench also helps prevent the ‘whoopie cushion’ sound that can occur as air escapes through narrow gaps (though maybe your kids might want to keep that!)

Trampolines that include this feature are the Berg Champion Inground and the Berg Grand Favorit Inground
